Bio: Kris Stanton

Kris Stanton was raised in East Wenatchee, WA after being born in Spokane, WA on November 4, 1976. He attended Eastmont High School until 1995 when he graduated and began attending Washington State University. At WSU he received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree while also taking pre-med classes to pursue a dream of becoming a physician. He worked at a local pharmacy in Wenatchee, WA in 2002 while applying to medical school. In 2003 Kris was accepted to Saba School of Medicine and moved to the small Caribbean island of Saba to begin his studies. He was then accepted into the Family Medicine of Spokane Residency program in Spokane, WA where, after three years of practicing medicine, he began working at The Valley Hospital as an ER physician.

He is married to his wife, Alli, who stays busy as a runner and pediatric dietician. They were married in 2007 and enjoy active weekends together followed by Sunday night ice cream.

Kris loves an active lifestyle. He spends most of his free time training/racing his bike, but over the last four years has fallen in love with triathlon racing. His true passion lies with the Ironman distance races where he last competed in Cozumel, Mexico and finished with a time of 9 hours 55 minutes. This was Kris’s third Ironman triathlon with plans for many more in the future.
